Danilo Piccioni

I'm like a kid in a candy store with all this information! Thanks so much! When I took this class I was hoping to turn my "mundane" black and whites into images that "popped" off the picture. And honestly I'm so THRILLED at what you've taught me! I had a blast doing this assignment. I'm fairly new to PS2 so it's great to know the exact steps (and actions to create) to get me going on manipulating the photo. I'm amazed at all the possible variations. The hardest part is DECIDING which is the "winner". The combinations are endless! For all my images this week I tried it all, but found that I really like channels, and then fine tuning with curves. (I didn't even know what curves were a week ago!) For me this course is some of the best money I've ever spent! I'm turning in a variety of "finishes and tones" this week so you can see all I've learned.

WOW, and I thought I knew everything to know about B&W. Boy, did you open my eyes. I loved your course, but I have liked all your courses. You have been honest, encouraging, and motivational all at the same time. Now that you enjoyably convinced me there is more to B&W, I would like this to be a six week course. Again, PPSOP continues to fulfill my expectations. Thank you Danilo and YES you will be seeing me again.

James Rubin

Thanks, Danilo! I loved this class. I've been using photoshop for years and years, but not for photography, for graphic design. Until this class, I could not wrap my mind around masks, selections, channels, the power of curves, etc. But now, it has become clear. I've read tons of stuff, but you helped me put it all together. I will see you after the next semester. I'm taking 4 weeks off to practice what I've learned so far. I'm already using a lot of what I've learned. Your tutorials are awesome!!! I just wish I had your stash of photos. LOL!

Terry Ellis

I just wanted to say, after reviewing the first of the videos, that it worked beautifully. It ran on full screen and was so easy to see and understand exactly what your PSCS process was. I really learned so much just from the first video . . . I can't wait to see the others.

I've now had a chance to view the other 3 videos you included in Lesson 9. All is can say is another "WOW." They are totally easy to see, follow, and understand. You did a beautiful job of covering all the bases and explaining in an easy-to-follow yet concise manner.

Thanks Danilo.

Kathy Nelson

Beautiful works on Lesson 10. And I love your videos too! Believe it or not, I learn all my Photoshop skills through videos! They are so much easier to follow!! You are so talented and creative! Can't wait to join your B&W class in June!

Cindy Wong

I love lesson 9!!! Oh my gosh Danilo, I am in love with what I have learned in this lesson! I've seen your photo Beauty and the Beast before, and I was dying to know how you did it. Thank you so much for teaching me that! I will never look at photos or Photoshop the same again. Very cool!

Rebecca Shadowens

You have surely been an inspiration to all of us, with your techniques, new angles and approaches. It must be in your blood. I'm sure you will continue to explore and do the best, which is yet to come, no doubt. I would love to go out shooting photos with you, here, or in Italy, Asia, or elsewhere. We will meet!

Jeff Lovinger

I have to second what Rebecca and Bill said, Danilo. I am so anxious to try this on more photos . . . the opportunities are limitless. What a great lesson Danilo. I have already signed up for your Colors PS course for June and am going to sign up for the B&W PS course for July. Thanks so much.

I am so impressed with my first class at The Perfect Picture School of Photography. The first of many I might add. Danilo and Chris's lessons were insightful, thoughtful and practical, giving me new ways of viewing, framing and capturing my compositions with the most creative lens choice. Their critiques were extremely fair, helpful and genuinely enthusiastic. It's a joy to be instructed by people who are so obviously passionate about photography and so capable of sharing their incredible talents with others. Danilo and Chris went way beyond just critiques; I received awesome PS tips regarding the final touches to my photos. Who could ask for more? Thanks for making all of this possible!

Terry Ellis

Thank you so much for the opportunity to learn from your vast knowledge and experience. This course has given me more confidence in myself because I understand what I am doing and why I am doing it so much better. I hope to take many more classes with you and one day attend a workshop in person. Thank you for helping me grow as a photographer. Photographers of your caliber inspire me to work harder and be the best I can be!

Thanks again.

Pam Vasquez

Thanks Danilo,

Simply amazing! Thanks so much for sharing. I use the Blend If sliders all the time, but it didn't occur to me to use them with this technique...now I know. Definitely the way to do it. I followed along and made my image look very similar to yours....amazing difference! You definitely have an eye for this....oops, I mean an Italian eye! This was truly an awesome learning experience, and I will remember the great fun I had with this class for a long time to come! You guys are the greatest! Thanks so much!

I think you've sold a few people on your own courses. Still trying to juggle my schedule for one of your workshops. Thank you so much Danilo. This was a really fun one to do. After taking this course, I'll be taking all of the Photoshop classes you offer. The videos have been fantastic! I really wanted to come on one of your workshops this year, but work and family commitments won't allow it. Hopefully next year. Thanks again for the inspiring and encouraging words...

Bill Cowen

I'm really kind of sad to see the class end. Looking back on all the photos already brings memories of how much fun and rewarding this experience was, and how quickly it passed. I may just have to try another one when I get the time. I'm a firm believer that you only get out of something what you put into it. I made the decision to put everything I had into this class and I must say I got twice as much back. I learned some valuable lessons and techniques that I will use for many years to come, and I will always be reminded of Bryan and Danilo when I use them with nostalgic memories. And who knows, maybe I'll run into some of my classmates down the road and we can reminisce.

Dan

Danilo, your photos and images have impact, and you do whatever is necessary to achieve this. You conceive of your shots, you plan and execute them, and you manipulate them to finalize the artistic process. I haven't commented on every one of your images (yet, perhaps after the course is over), but I have studied them and I have studied your methodology, and I have learned from you. Keep up the great work.

Bob
