Digital Snap-Shooters Guide to Great Photos!
Starting date:

Instructor: Mark English                                                                              Duration: 4 Weeks            Cost: USD195

Here is some great news for all of you, "I'm so overwhelmed by the sophistication of my Digital Point and Shoot that I am tempted to go back to the trusted Kodak Disposable Film Camera" snap-shooters. Yeah you; the snap-shooter who goes on a cruise, or takes that once a year vacation to Hawaii or that once in a lifetime trip around the world. And of course there are all of those birthday parties, holiday gatherings and family weddings that you want to get some great snap-shots of too! Well, as we know, and as you have quickly learned, camera mfgs. have crammed a lot of sophistication into your small and compact digital point and shoot! And any attempts on your part to try and understand all of that sophistication is enough to make you yearn for the days when using the Kodak Disposable Film Camera was so much easier. Don't despair!

Mark English, a noted North American Photographer, promises to cut right to the chase! By the end of the first lesson, you will easily understand which file format is best to use; jpeg normal, fine or perhaps even RAW. You will also know why you should NEVER pay attention to those ridiculous "scene modes" which many digital point and shoots offer. Instead you will find yourself understanding with ease the FOUR most important settings on your point and shoot and how these four settings are really all you need to know to take some great snap-shots and that even includes settling the confusion once and or all about the correct White Balance. Mark's lessons are all written in a language that even second graders can understand and on top of that they are all amply illustrated with some really simple yet beautiful photography, photography that you will soon be shooting with careless abandon!

Do you know why your portraits of your husband, daughter or nephew look too dark sometimes? Do you know why the pictures you shoot indoors are often too dark or too bright? Do you often feel that everything in your pictures are too small and distant? Do you often find yourself needing to explain your photographs to your friends, relatives or co-workers? A great picture really is worth a thousand words, so in truth you shouldn't have to be saying anything at all when you show your pictures!

You will learn what automated setting to use when shooting landscapes AND what is the most favorable composition. You will learn what automated setting to use when shooting that flower close-up and what is it's most favorable composition. You will learn what automated settings to use when shooting that portrait of your grandson and what is the most favorable composition. And you will see first-hand what are the three most common compositional mistakes made by all Point and Shoot Photographers and learn how easy these mistakes are to overcome. In addition Mark will make it clearly obvious why, when and with what subjects you should zoom your lens from one focal length to another. And, finally Mark will explode the myth that you can only be creative with one of those far more expensive digital single lens reflex cameras with his three really fun and informative tips that will make you realize that creativity is not for the chosen few!

Of course now that you have put to use Mark's terrific lessons and valuable tips your photography has improved dramatically, but it's all for not, when you end up with a bad color print e.g. colors don't match, too much or too little contrast, too much or too little sharpness. Mark, will once again make it clear WHY those prints you are currently making on your home computer/ink jet printer often "look just horrible" and yet immediately after employing Mark's suggested changes you will find yourself exclaiming, "Now this print looks exactly like I remember it!" And finally, Mark will address what is perhaps the most important issue facing every digital point and shoot snap-shooter out there: What is the best way to store your digital files so all of your precious memories remain a permanent and precious memory? If you own a digital point and shot camera and love taking snap-shots, but hate the inconsistent results, than this class is definitely for you! 4 Weekly Eye-Opening Lessons and 4-Weekly Fun Assignments and 4-Weekly Informative Critiques.
